Otter is an open-source AI short-drama creation tool. It runs in a bring-your-own-API-key mode: there is no account login, and we do not operate cloud user accounts.
By default, this app does not upload your creative content, API keys, or personal identity to Otter official servers.
Data that may be stored locally on your device includes:
These are kept in local storage (e.g. SQLite and the app sandbox).
API keys you configure are used only to call the third-party AI providers you choose (e.g. OpenAI, Alibaba Cloud, MiniMax, Volcengine). Request payloads go to those providers and are governed by their privacy policies.
Do not store keys on untrusted devices; rotate keys regularly.
If you use in-app “Feedback”, the message and optional contact info are handed to your mail client and sent to us for support and product improvement. We do not use feedback for advertising.
